| Managed the analysis and implementation of a Data Warehouse for a Fortune 500 power tool manufacturer (Black and Decker). The implementation used the Business Objects suite of reporting and analysis tools and an Oracle database. The primary data source for the Data Warehouse was Manugistics; a manufacturing forecast planning and inventory system. The effort included the design and development of several extremely complex supply and demand comparison reports and Oracle PL/SQL routines for preprocessing the data. The resulting system assists supply and demand planners to accurately forecast production needs for coming months in addition to tracking excess and obsolete inventories. Developed and assisted the client in delivering customized training and provided technical guidance to the client staff following the initial engagement. |
